There’s a new feature in Notion - Basic Tables! Notion databases are great for collecting data and assigning unique properties. You can apply calculations and other formulas to those properties in addition to creating complex relations. With basic tables, users have the ability to compartmentalize data without a fancy database. Sometimes, that’s all you need.
Notion pros like Ben are exploring different ways to hack the new feature and I’m all for it! Here’s a little guide on how to color the background of table rows.
Also, I posted two videos this week. Can you believe it? Right now I’m working part-time and going to school, so my free-time is limited. I’m learning to manage time with stress-reduction in mind, and it’s proving fruitful.
I break down my projects into 5-10 minute tasks.
I don’t give myself breaks after a defined timeframe (eg. every 30 minutes). Instead, I take a break only after a number of tasks are complete.
I get quick tasks out of the way with my coffee in the morning and turned it into a routine I look forward to daily.
I get plenty of sleep, and never work past 10pm.
